Well Clad Copper & Zinc is a premium architectural sheet metal company in Vancouver, Canada. When the owner, a hands-on entrepreneur, approached me to design his company's visual identity, we had in-depth discussions about his craft, projects, and materials. I found my primary inspiration in copper's natural transformation as it develops a patina over time. Through experimentation with generative art, I created a gradient that captures this temporal evolution of copper, making it the foundation of the brand's visual elements. The final design balances two distinct aspects: the rich, traditional heritage of copper cladding and a contemporary aesthetic, expressed through bold typography and modern layouts.
