Well Clad Copper & Zinc is the high standards architectural sheet metal company based in Vancouver, BC. Jakub, the owner of Well Clad, a do-it-yourself entrepreneur approached me with a need for a visual identity for his business. I talked to him about his trade, projects and materials he uses. The natural process of copper turning into patina over time was my number one inspiration. Through experiments with generative art, I created a gradient of changing-through-time copper and made it the base of the branding collateral. With bold typography and layouts, the branding contrasts its complex personality (rooted in the long tradition of copper cladding) with the contemporary.
